One of the shops in the above photo is El Pastorcito, or The Little Shepherd. This humble restaurant is run by an immigrant family who lives in the neighborhood. The tacos, rice, and beans are hands-down some of the best that I’ve eaten in my life. 

Inside the restaurant are a couple sets of tables arranged close together because the square footage of the space is so small, but it creates a warm, homely atmosphere. On the walls are bright, multicolored murals and paintings, as well as a striking, off-centered deer head.
